The Customer Support Specialist is an extension of the sales team to drive greater efficiency and productivity for the sales organization, while delivering an outstanding customer experience for all Precision Optical Technologies (OT) customers. The Customer Support Specialist will be responsible for maintaining an understanding of Precision OT's internal sales systems and processes while acting as the subject matter expert for all internal questions and escalations around these processes.

The Customer Support Specialist is a driving force behind efficiency and productivity in the Sales organization. Our CSSs are fully integrated into the sales process and will be able to demonstrate their knowledge, passion and expertise by handling escalations and questions around the sales and order fulfillment processes at Precision.
What you will do
- Supporting the sales team with general operations to help reach the team’s objectives
- Generating a high volume of quotes for the sales team and assigned customers
- Processing a high volume of product orders (new PO’s, samples, etc.)
- Processing all external order acknowledgments, ship reports and customer order status / delivery requests
- Ensuring information and status for opportunities in company CRM are up to date and accurate.
- Working with assigned account team and engineering resources to process new part requests
- Assisting the sales team with new contact creation and organization chart updates
- Supporting internal and external reporting requests for sales and assigned customers
- Prioritizing and responding to high volumes of email as well as digital ticket/case management request volumes in company CRM
- Communicating important feedback from customers to appropriate internal team members
- Work with assigned Account Teams to understand customer expectations and deliverables
- Takes an active role in developing new or revised business processes as systems and work methodologies adapt within the growth of the organization
- Acknowledging and communicating fulfillment of all customer-related Return Material Authorization’s (RMA)
- Participate in the customer billing/invoicing process as needed in coordination with sales and Precision AR team.
- Have a full understanding of company QMS (Quality Management System) policy and procedures
What you will bring
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 2 or more years of sales-focused administrative work experience or inside account management duties is highly desirable.
- Experience partnering with teams that have quota or budget ownership is preferred
- Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, handle and prioritize simultaneous requests
- Must demonstrate exceptional verbal and written communication skills at all levels of the organization.
- Must be able to work in a team environment
- Must be detail oriented with strong organizational skills and a positive attitude
- Provide a remarkable client experience
- Well versed in IT applications, including but not limited to Google/Collaboration Tools & Microsoft Office Suite
- Demonstrated ability to take a process-oriented approach to problem solving
