Overview
Will be working with the billing team doing back-office and verification work. Use Excel heavily and process new information through patient accounts. If information is missing, responsibilities include determining ways to obtain the missing data and contacting current patients to gather needed information. Also involves processing paper reports into the system when updates are required.
Responsibilities- Perform back-office and verification tasks for patient accounts.
- Use Excel extensively to process and manage information.
- Identify missing information and take steps to obtain it.
- Reach out to current patients to obtain necessary account information.
- Process paper reports and update the system accordingly.
- Excel proficiency; ability to navigate multiple systems and use MS Office Suite.
- Analytical skills and strong computer skills.
- Customer service experience and effective communication skills.
- Experience with hospital/medical billing; claims and denials knowledge a plus.
- EPIC experience is highly preferred but not required.
- Healthcare administration experience with Excel/Computer skills.
- High school diploma required; preferably a 2- or 4-year degree.
- Experience in medical industry roles (front desk, reception, intake, etc.).
- Organizational skills, reliability, and clear communication.
