Salary: $16.00 /hr
Employment:
Part Time, 22.50 hours per week, Monday through Friday
Shift: 8:30 am – 1:00 pm
Welcomes visitors and directs them to the appropriate staff. Provides information to the general public, clients and customers. Answers the main telephone line for Elmwood Avenue.
Responsibilities- Answers the multi-line telephone, screens and directs calls to staff members.
- Takes messages for staff members as needed and ensures customer needs are met.
- Maintains confidentiality of information relating to individuals and their families in accordance with agency policy.
- Imparts agency philosophy of Equal Opportunity, Independence and Realization of Individual Potential to children, families, program staff and community resources.
- Provides information regarding Rochester Rehabilitation/One Source Solutions and Employment Connections to callers and visitors.
- Greets clients and directs them to staff members.
- Provides general administrative and clerical support.
- Receives and sorts incoming mail.
- Works as needed on ongoing projects and new job start-ups.
- Maintains the reception area to ensure that it looks presentable and updates AED and Conference room calendars monthly.
- Participates in conferences, workshops, department meetings and in-service training as needed or recommended to enhance job skills and personal growth and development.
- Record maintenance: staff and client attendance, sign in/out sheets, expense reports (if needed).
- Works in chart room, organizing, filing, charting for all University programs.
- Assists, as needed, with organizing, set-up, clean-up and staff recruitment for special events such as holiday party, summer luncheon and other related events for University Ave.
- Participates in building inspections, fire drills, fire extinguisher and AED inspections as scheduled and assigned.

Work Environment:
This job operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment.
Physical Demands:
The employee must be able to talk or hear regularly; may sit, stand, walk, use hands, and reach with arms. May lift and/or move objects up to 10 pounds regularly and up to 30 pounds occasionally.

RequiredEducation and Experience
High School Diploma or GED required. Basic Microsoft Office, internet research and organizational skills. Good verbal and written communications, interpersonal and problem-solving skills. Additional Eligibility
