Accountant, Financial Reporting, Accounting Manager

Description We are looking for an experienced Accountant to join our team in Rochester, New York. This Contract to permanent position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the financial health and success of our organization. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing financial records, ensuring accuracy, and supporting decision-making processes through detailed financial analysis.

Responsibilities:

- Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and journal entries.

- Prepare comprehensive financial statements on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.

- Conduct detailed budgeting and forecasting to support organizational planning.

- Ensure adherence to internal controls and compliance with accounting standards.

- Reconcile bank statements and perform thorough account analysis to maintain accuracy.

- Assist in external audits and tax preparation efforts.

- Collaborate with various departments to improve and streamline financial processes.

- Utilize accounting software to manage and report financial data effectively. Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field.

- Certification, such as CPA, is strongly preferred.

- Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience.

- Advanced proficiency in accounting software such as Microsoft D365, Oracle Net Suite, Quick Books, or Workday.

- Expertise in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions and data analysis.

- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

- Excellent organizational and time management abilities to handle multiple tasks.

- Solid knowledge of general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable processes.
