Controller, Accounting, Accounting Manager

Position Summary

The Controller is a hands-on accounting leader responsible for maintaining the general ledger, financial reporting, internal controls, and process improvement. This role balances day-to-day execution with team leadership, building scalable systems and strengthening accounting operations to support a multi-entity, growing organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee accounting functions- i.e. G/L activity, AP/AR, inventory, cost accounting, accruals, and financial reporting
• Manage month-end close
• Oversee annual audit processes and ensure a proper control environment for all financial activities
• Lead cash flow planning and forecasting
• Improve processes, systems, and reporting through automation and best practices
• Partner cross-functionally with operations and leadership to support business decisions
• Support post-acquisition integrations and standardize accounting practices
• Develop, mentor, and lead the accounting team

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA preferred
• Progressive accounting leadership experience with ownership of financial reporting and close processes
• Knowledge of accounting principles applicable to inventory and cost accounting
• Strong process improvement, systems, and team leadership skills
• Effective communicator with a collaborative, hands-on approach
