The Senior Accountant, a member of the Finance Department at Rochester Regional Health, will prepare and support monthly and annual financial close and reporting activities. The role requires developing subject‑matter expertise in assigned areas, providing analysis and support for those areas, and leading team‑level projects and processes with guidance, assistance, and training for other accountants.

• Prepare monthly general and standard journal entries.
• Prepare monthly account reconciliations.
• Maintain established department policies, procedures, objectives, and quality assurance.
• Enhance professional growth and development through educational programs, seminars, workshops, conferences, etc. to keep abreast of the field.
• Maintain required records, reports, and files.
• Ensure timely and accurate completion of monthly financial statements for management review and assist with budget development.
• Analyze financial reports and records, making recommendations regarding accounting reserves, assets and expenditures.
• Prepare and analyze 990 workbooks and act as liaison with auditors during annual audits.
• Perform other duties as directed.

• Three to five years of prior relevant experience, preferred.
• Exceptional organizational skills and creativity.
• High level of computer and software competency; proficient with database administration and infrastructure;
  Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint.
• Analytical and proactive problem‑solving skills.
• Proven written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.

$68,000.00 - $80,000.00
