Bookkeeper

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper to join our team in Rochester, New York. This contract-to-permanent position offers an excellent opportunity for a skilled individual to manage financial records and ensure accuracy in accounting processes. The ideal candidate will have experience with Quick Books and a strong understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.

Responsibilities:

- Maintain accurate financial records, ensuring all transactions are properly documented and categorized.

- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable in a timely and efficient manner.

- Perform regular bank reconciliations to verify account balances and identify discrepancies.

- Utilize Quick Books software to manage and update company financial data.

- Prepare financial reports and summaries to assist with decision-making processes.

- Monitor cash flow and ensure adequate funding for operational needs.

- Implement and maintain effective bookkeeping procedures and controls.

- Communicate with vendors and clients to resolve billing and payment issues.

- Support audits by providing necessary documentation and information.

- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless financial operations. Requirements - Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role.

- Proficiency in Quick Books and familiarity with other financial software.

- Strong knowledge of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.

- Demonstrated ability to perform accurate bank reconciliations.

- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.

- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Effective communication skills for interacting with vendors, clients, and colleagues.
