Accounts Payable Clerk

Description We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in Rochester, New York. In this Contract to permanent role, you will play a key part in ensuring the efficient management of financial transactions and maintaining accurate records. This position is ideal for someone with strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and a commitment to accuracy.

Responsibilities:

- Process and manage a high volume of invoices, ensuring accuracy and timely payment.

- Perform account reconciliations to verify ledger accuracy and resolve discrepancies.

- Handle check runs and prepare payments in compliance with company policies.

- Code invoices accurately and ensure proper allocation to accounts.

- Maintain and update financial records through precise data entry.

- Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to address invoice-related issues.

- Utilize accounting software such as Quick Books, SAP, Oracle, and Quick Books Online.

- Generate reports and provide analysis related to accounts payable activities.

- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company procedures. Requirements - Proven experience in accounts payable or a similar financial role.

- Strong proficiency with accounting software including Quick Books, SAP, Oracle, and Quick Books Online.

- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.

- Ability to accurately process invoices and manage payment schedules.

- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with vendors and team members.

- Familiarity with financial regulations and compliance standards.

- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
