Job SummaryAs a Vascular Sonographer, you would perform non‑invasive ultrasound procedures while recognizing sonographic characteristics of normal and abnormal tissue, structures and blood flow. You will adjust scanning techniques to optimize image quality and spectral waveform, perform measurements and calculations according to laboratory protocol.
Responsibilities- Analyze sonographic findings throughout the course of the examination to complete the comprehensive exam and provide sufficient data to the physician to render a final diagnosis.
- Initiate additional scanning techniques or administer contrast agents as indicated by the examination and according to established laboratory policy and procedure.
- Notify appropriate personnel when procedural findings are significant and/or patient condition is of concern.
- Graduate from an accredited Cardiovascular Technology or Nursing Program.
- Registered Vascular Sonographer.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
