Job Purpose
The Process Engineering Intern will support the LEAP Process Engineering team in enhancing the production processes for composite LEAP Aerospace Components. This role involves collecting and analyzing process data to provide actionable recommendations, collaborating with cross‑functional teams across the USA, France, and Mexico to ensure project success, and assisting in preparing and modifying process documentation to facilitate continuous improvement efforts.

- Assist the Global Process Engineer and the Injection Engineering Team with projects to improve the production process of composite LEAP Aerospace Components.
- Collect and analyze key process data to provide recommendations to the engineering team for future improvements.
- Work with cross‑functional teams from the USA, France, and Mexico to understand process requirements and ensure project success across all LEAP facilities.
- Support the preparation and modification of process and customer related documentation (Work instructions, Risk Registers, Process Software Files) for related projects.
- Analyze process data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Document existing processes, including flowcharts, SOPs, and work instructions.
- Participate in process testing or experiments to evaluate new materials, techniques, or equipment.
- Assist in troubleshooting production issues and developing solutions under the guidance of senior engineers.
- Support quality assurance efforts by conducting inspections and assisting with quality audits.
- Collaborate on projects to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, or improve product quality.
- Assist in preparing reports and presentations on findings and recommendations.
- Attendance is mandatory to ensure effective team collaboration and productivity.
- Completed at least two years (three years preferred) toward a BS in Engineering with a GPA of 3.0 (3.5 preferred) or higher (Aerospace, Composites, Mechanical or equivalent).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) to create work instructions and other production documentation.
- Capability to understand and interpret engineering drawings, with a basic understanding.
- Demonstrated experience with CAD software (Solid Works, AutoCAD, etc.) is a plus.

- Ability to identify problems and willingness to make decisions.
Indoor production environment, duties performed indoors, adequate lighting and comfortable temperatures. Occasional exposure to moderate noise and machinery with mechanical moving parts.
Physical Requirements- Occasionally position self to move an office item >10 lbs.
- Frequently move about the production floor and office area to attend meetings or trainings.
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position up to 75% of the time.
- Frequently operate a computer, enter data into systems, verify information, etc.
Day – Monday to Friday, 40 hours a week.
