Join our client, a leader in boiler and water heater technology, as a Senior Sustaining Engineer. In this role, you are the primary authority on Product Integrity, ensuring that existing products remain safe, compliant, and efficient as supplier landscapes and market needs evolve.

Candidates must have a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering and a minimum of five years of experience in Sustaining Engineering for complex electromechanical products. They must possess a strong working knowledge of sustaining engineering practices, including the ability to manage complex Bills of Materials (BOM) and technical drawings while leading hands‑on fault‑finding and root‑cause diagnostics.

- Provide strategic leadership for all sustaining engineering activities, ensuring product longevity and operational excellence
- Lead RCA for field and production failures, implementing permanent corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Drive Value Analysis and Value Engineering (VAVE) initiatives to reduce costs and optimize performance without compromising safety or quality.
- Analyze and resolve intricate product issues to maintain high reliability and strict compliance with safety regulations.
- Partner with Design, Production, Quality, and Service departments to seamlessly implement engineering changes.
- Oversee Bills of Material (BOM) management and drawing version control to ensure uninterrupted production flow
- Ensure all design modifications adhere to rigid industry standards and safety protocols.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum of five years of engineering experience, with a proven track record in Sustaining Engineering for complex mechanical/electromechanical products.
- Must have experience working within regulated industries and the confidence to take legal responsibility for engineering changes and compliance standards.
- Strong working knowledge of sustaining practices, including BOM management, drawing management, and lifecycle documentation.
- Strong analytical problem‑solving skills and the ability to manage multiple high‑priority projects simultaneously.
- Knowledge in gas combustion system design or troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of heat pump technology or refrigeration cycles.
- Familiarity with PLC programming and control logic.
- Knowledge of Lean principles and cost‑optimization strategies.
