This is a full-time on-site role for a Cost Accountant at Thompson Investment Casting in Rochester, NH. The Cost Accountant will be responsible for managing cost accounting processes, preparing financial statements, performing journal entries, and conducting financial analyses. The role involves working closely with the finance team to ensure accurate cost reporting and supporting decision-making through detailed financial insights.

• Strong proficiency in Cost Accounting, including tracking, analyzing, and reporting costs related to manufacturing and production processes
• Experience in preparing and analyzing Financial Statements for accurate reporting
• Excellent Analytical Skills for identifying trends, variances, and recommendations to improve financial performance
• Proficiency in Journal Entries and other aspects of Accounting
• Solid understanding of Finance principles and their application in cost accounting
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and problem-solving abilities
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Proficiency in accounting software and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel is highly beneficial
• Prior experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment is a plus
