Technical Account Executive – Water & Process Systems

This full‑time, permanent Applications Sales Engineer – Industrial Water Solutions opening is at a growing company that specializes in providing engineered solutions that optimize industrial and commercial systems. The role involves acting as a territory manager in SE Minnesota, focusing on driving 80% new business growth while maintaining 20% existing customer relationships. Requirements
  • 3+ years of B2B selling experience in industrial systems, providing technical support for water systems and manufacturing solutions
  • A four‑year engineering degree (mechanical or environmental preferred)
  • Pay range: $75,000 to $125,000
  • Must be a United States citizen or Green Card holder
  • Full‑time, permanent W‑2 employee with full benefits
  • No relocation required
  • Must reside within 55 minutes of the Rochester, MN area
Responsibilities
  • Maintain and grow customer relationships as a self‑motivated, outgoing professional
  • Provide technical sales and support with a strong customer focus
  • Manage a sales territory, requiring daily travel (up to 3+ hours of driving)
  • Contribute to a positive team culture and company growth
  • Demonstrate a proven track record in sales, customer retention, and collaboration
  • Apply mechanical and technical expertise, particularly with water treatment, water chemistry, or fluid process control
  • Manage mid‑market and large accounts with a history of exceeding sales goals
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical or Environmental preferred)
  • 3+ years of B2B sales experience in commercial or industrial markets (industrial systems, manufacturing processes, high/low‑pressure systems, or water treatment)
  • Strong foundation in mechanical engineering, chemistry, automation, and system design
  • Solid work history with a track record of success
  • Travel to accounts within your territory may require driving 3+ hours per day
  • Must be a US citizen or possess a green card
