Overview

As a Garden Services (GS) Senior Crew Lead 1 at Sargent’s, you will be part of a team that is responsible for the safety, quality and efficiency of work performed by the Garden Services crews. Garden Services is a division of Sargent’s that handles landscape management of planting beds and annual containers. The GS Senior Crew Lead 1 is a 100% field role that will focus on all landscape management services that Sargent’s provides.

You will measure your success in your role here at Sargent’s by representing the Garden Services division well. You will be part of a team that is growing and developing every day and you will hold a key leadership role in that development. As a top performer in this role, you will be highly skilled at time management and will lead and communicate well.

You will be evaluated based on how well you inspire and train your team to do safe, quality and efficient work, growing their knowledge in horticulture, training the necessary skills, and leading them in the work that needs to be done.

• A love for all things outdoors. A love for plants, even better.
• An expertise in horticulture and a passion for continuing to grow your knowledge and skills.
• Proficiency in performing weed control (pulling and spraying), shrub pruning, small tree pruning, spring and fall cleanups and other landscape management tasks.
• Proficiency in crew leadership.
• Ability and passion to lead the Sargent’s Vision, Mission and Values into your teammates.
• Minimum years leading a crew.
• Ability to lift/carry materials up to 50lbs, and handle tools/equipment in a safe manner.
• Ability to handle extended periods of activity and exposure to weather of all kinds.
• Valid driver’s license and able to be insured on Sargent’s company insurance policy.
• Valid MN Pesticide Applicator license (or ability to obtain within 30 days).

• Pay range $24.16-$30.47 per hour.
