The Divisions of Hepatobiliary and Pancreatic Surgery, Metabolic and Abdominal Wall Reconstructive Surgery, Breast and Melanoma surgical oncology, and Endocrine Surgery are seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to work as part of a collaborative team of surgeon consultants, fellows, residents, nurses, and other staff to provide 24/7 hospital coverage managing the inpatient care of adult surgical patients undergoing complex liver, pancreas, gastric, abdominal wall reconstruction, endocrine, bariatric and breast procedures.
Our NP/PAs are valued members of a talented surgery team, where teamwork, learning, and collaboration happens naturally and is essential to meeting the needs of the patients for whom we provide care.
The NP/PA hospitalist team conducts comprehensive assessments of patients including:
- Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests
- Diagnosing
- Prescribing pharmacologic agents, treatments, and non-pharmacologic therapies with a high level of autonomy
Providing care across this diverse patient population provides you the opportunity to hone your skills in several surgical specialties.
FTE: 0.8-1.0 based on candidate preference. Shifts are 6am-6pm weekday and weekend days, 5pm-7am weeknights, 1-2 holidays per year, weekends every 4-6 weeks on variable schedule. Our schedules are collaboratively built within our NPPA team, allowing for valued off-time for personal pursuits, development, and life/work balance.
Total Compensation:

- Benefit-eligible employees (50-100% FTE) receive up to 7 trip days (commensurate with time away from practice as approved off the schedule by a supervisor) and an annual allotment of $4,400.

Relocation is allotted for candidates 70 or more miles away from Rochester, MN. Compensation is based off of education and experience. The base salary for this position ranges from $ to $.
Shift Differential. This is a 24/7 position and would be eligible for shift differential.

- Less than 22 years: 2,248.62 hours annually, 2,641.15 hours per pay period
