Job Description
The Registered Nurse in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) will provide telemetry and step-down level care for adults and geriatric patients. They will be responsible for cardiac monitoring, management of dysrhythmias, administration of oxygen, and IV therapy.
Responsibilities

• Monitor patient vital signs and manage cardiac drips (no titration).

• Administer blood products, perform central and peripheral line care, and ensure isolation precautions are observed.

• Participate in rapid response/code team situations and utilize advanced telemetry skills.

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including IV teams, respiratory services, and social services.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active New York Single State RN license required.

• Current certifications in ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS.

• Minimum one year of experience in PCU/DOU/IMC or telemetry nursing.

• Proficient in EPIC charting system.
