Software Tester

Shift

Monday – Friday, Standard Business Hours (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM)

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Software Development, Software Testing, Quality Control, or a Related Field (Required)
• OR
• Associate Degree in a Computer-Related Field with 2+ years of professional experience in software development, testing, or quality control
• OR
• 6+ years of professional experience in software development, software testing, or quality control

• Quality or Testing Certifications such as ISO Service Management, CSTP, or ITIL (Preferred)

• Contract Software Tester role supporting quality assurance for virtual care and monitoring platforms within a healthcare environment.
• Responsible for testing vended web and mobile applications supporting provider and patient workflows.
• The role includes manual testing, validation planning, test execution, and defect analysis across integrated healthcare technology platforms.
• Work closely with IT teams, developers, product owners, and operational stakeholders to ensure release readiness, platform stability, and system validation
  .
• Position requires candidates to be located in the Rochester, MN area for hybrid work
  , including onsite testing and stakeholder collaboration when needed.

• Design, document, and execute manual test cases for web and mobile applications.
• Support validation activities for software systems, integrations, and infrastructure components.
• Develop and maintain test plans, test scripts, and validation documentation
  .
• Perform testing for vended applications and platform integrations
  .
• Track defects, perform root cause analysis, and support defect remediation.
• Maintain testing libraries and documentation in test management tools such as Quality Center or Azure Dev Ops.
• Coordinate testing across development teams and environments to ensure release readiness.
• Validate integrations between multiple systems including vendor platforms and enterprise systems.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, project meetings, and cross-functional discussions.
• Maintain testing documentation including validation plans, regression coverage, and test metrics.
• Support incident investigations and reproduce system issues for technical teams.

• Experience testing vended applications and web/mobile platforms

• Hands-on experience with Azure Dev Ops (ADO) for test management or work tracking.
• Experience working in Agile and Waterfall development environments
  .
• Experience creating and executing structured manual test cases
  .
• Ability to analyze business requirements, functional specifications, and design documentation
  .
• Strong documentation, analytical, and organizational skills.
• Strong communication skills working with technical and business stakeholders.

• Experience working in healthcare technology environments
  .
• Experience with test management tools such as Quality Center
  .

• Candidates must be located in or near Rochester, MN due to hybrid work requirements.
• Must be comfortable working across multiple product lines in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to independently investigate issues and fill knowledge gaps.
