IT Project Manager, Systems Analyst, IT Consultant

Location: MN-Rochester, 100% Remote
OverviewEvery Turnberry consultant belongs to a practice, an internal group of consultants and leaders with shared experience and expertise. Each of these practices aligns to one of the core services Turnberry offers to clients. As an IT Project Manager, you will join Turnberry's Business Transformation practice. Turnberry's Business Transformation practice is dedicated to diagnosing and addressing core business challenges including regulatory compliance, full-scale implementation, managing change and driving continuous improvement across transformation initiatives.
Responsibilities- Conduct requirements gathering, requirements documentation, and validation across multiple stakeholder groups
- Manage project coordination tasks under the direction of a Senior PM (meeting facilitation, RAID tracking, documentation updates)
- Support data conversion planning, mapping, validation, and documentation
- Support change management activities including SOP updates, training materials, communications, and readiness activities
- Assist with billing related data work, test preparation, and system verification
- Work with IT, lab operations, and clinical leaders to align requirements and ensure consistent documentation
- Lead projects of medium to high complexity, and may also support projects of high complexity, as part of a program team in collaboration with a Senior Project Manager and/or Program Manager
- Responsible to achieve project objectives and completion on time, on budget, and in conformance to IT methodologies and practices
- Solicit technological input from senior technical resources assigned to their project team(s) and facilitate technology problem-solving activities
- Manage projects with budget responsibility up to (USD)1 million and may require matrix supervision of staff from other IT departments, divisions, and contractor/vendor resources
- Contingent upon the project, may present project requests to institutional committees and oversight bodies to receive approval and project direction and input
- May support senior level project/program managers in strategic planning processes
- Make judgments and take reasonable and prudent actions to accomplish agreed upon project objectives under minimal direct supervision
- Advise other IT staff regarding project management practices, methods, and standards
- Routinely demonstrate the Project Focused Culture within the Information Technology department
- Manage multiple competing objectives, prioritize, and communicate complex technical information in clear and unambiguous terms to management and end user personnel
- Assure strict adherence to budget management and guidelines of both the Information Technology department and the institution
- May participate in the development and tracking of project budgets
- Perform additional job-related functions as detailed by immediate supervisor
- Education
- Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 7 years of experience managing projects of simple and moderate complexity involving Information Technology and/or Healthcare disciplines which includes experience leading projects using PMI Process Groups and Knowledge Areas
- OR
- Master’s Degree and a minimum of 4 years of experience managing projects of simple to moderate complexity involving Information Technology and/or Healthcare disciplines, which includes experience leading projects using PMI Process Groups and Knowledge Areas.
- Strong Business Analyst background
- Requirements solicitation, documentation, process mapping, and traceability
- Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Web Browsers
- Strong Project Management background
- RAID tracking, status reporting, meeting facilitation, and implementation support
- Experience working in healthcare, IT, clinical, LIS, LIMS, lab operations, blood bank, or transfusion medicine environments
- Experience supporting data conversion, mapping, validation, and reconciliation
- Ability to maintain large volumes of project and requirements documentation
- Exceptional communication (written + verbal) skills
- Must produce clear requirements, project artifacts, and summaries
- Must be familiar with clinical/lab workflows or the interaction between lab operations and IT
- Experience with large scale system implementations
- Preferably multi-site, regulated, or clinical system rollouts
- MAK SYSTEM experience (This is the #1 preference)
- Epic/Beaker experience
The salary range for this role is $85,000 to $125,000 or the hourly equivalent.
