- Conduct diagnostic assessments, determine clinical interventions, facilitate crisis intervention, and deliver short-term psychotherapy and patient/family education.
- Develop and implement treatment and transition plans.
- Refer patients to community resources to address barriers related to social determinants of health.
- Serve as an active member of an interdisciplinary team by participating in huddles and case consultation meetings.
- Contribute to Mayo Clinic's mission of research, practice, and education.
- Ensure compliance with medical and legal standards, and serve as a resource for allied and administrative staff within the Section of Social Work and Department of Nursing.
To be considered for this position, candidates must possess a Master's degree in Social Work.
Licensure/CertificationCurrent clinical licensure (e.g., LICSW, LCSW) eligible for independent practice as required by applicable Minnesota state regulations.
Additional Requirements- Advanced knowledge of mental illness, personality development, and various treatment modalities, along with skills in conducting individual, group, and family therapy.
- Strong communication skills for interaction with patients, families, multidisciplinary teams, and community agencies.
- Psychosocial diagnostic expertise and experience addressing barriers related to social determinants of health.
