Position: ASST DIR, NUTRITION LAB

Job Summary

The Assistant Director of the Nutrition Lab serves as the primary liaison between the Nutrition Lab and the client’s Clinical Nutrition team, ensuring seamless coordination, high‑quality service delivery, and alignment with department goals. This role supports the operational, educational, and project‑based needs of the Nutrition Lab while also providing training and oversight for initiatives across the Rochester, MN Campus.

    Develops goals and oversees execution of Nutrition Lab operations in alignment with clinical nutrition priorities, medical direction, and patient population needs.
  • Serves as the direct liaison with client Clinical Nutrition leadership to support communication, workflow optimization, and program development.
  • Leads, trains, mentors, and evaluates Nutrition Lab staff, ensuring strong competency, productivity, and adherence to quality standards.
  • Supports training programs and project work for the Rochester campus, including onboarding, competency development, and process improvement initiatives.
  • Implements strategies that promote collaboration, operational efficiency, and high‑quality clinical nutrition outcomes.
  • Ensures compliance with all regulatory, accreditation, confidentiality, HIPAA, and patient rights standards.
  • Participates in and may lead patient satisfaction initiatives, departmental meetings, and Quality Assurance/Performance Improvement (QAPI) activities.
Qualifications
  • Qualifications:
    Registered Dietitian credentialed by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR), required.
  • State licensure (where applicable), required.
  • Minimum of two years of experience as a Registered Dietitian in a healthcare setting, including leadership or managerial responsibilities in clinical nutrition or patient services.
  • Master’s degree preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, electronic medical records, diet office systems, and nutrient analysis software.
