Join a world‑class Neurology team advancing innovation, education, and patient care. The CNP Technologist role is part of a multi‑skilled Neurodiagnostic team, performing procedures including Electroencephalography (EEG), Evoked Potentials, Autonomic Testing, and/or Nerve Conduction Studies.
The technologist ensures exceptional patient preparation, accurate data acquisition, and a safe, high‑quality testing environment. As part of Mayo Clinic’s growing Neurology department, you will work with cutting‑edge technology while contributing to meaningful patient care.
Key responsibilities include:
- Accurate patient preparation and high‑quality data acquisition.
- Maintaining a safe testing environment.
- Applying best practices and clinical expertise to tailor studies to each patient’s unique needs.
- Monitoring and maintaining EEG recordings for surgical, adult, and pediatric patients; responding to seizures and troubleshooting equipment.
- Assisting with SPECT injections and providing shift reports on relevant patient information.
- Acting as a liaison between nurses and physicians to support effective communication and collaboration.
- Mentoring student technologists rotating through inpatient practice.
Tech I – High School Diploma or GED. Graduate of an accredited institution for neurodiagnostic technology or 2 years equivalent experience. Associate’s degree preferred. Required certifications through ABRET, ABEM, or AAET, and Basic Life Support.
Tech II – High School Diploma or GED and 3 years of neurodiagnostic experience. Current Registered Neurodiagnostic Technologist with ABRET, ABEM, or AAET, and Basic Life Support.
Tech III – High School Diploma or GED and 5 years of neurodiagnostic experience. Current Registered Neurodiagnostic Technologist with two or one registry and additional experience requirements, plus Basic Life Support.
