• Demonstrates strong knowledge of cardiac, vascular, respiratory, and renal physiology/pathology, ECG interpretation, cardiac medications, and common cardiac conditions.
• Monitors and assists in diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures, ensuring patient safety and accurate documentation.
• Responds appropriately to lethal arrhythmia and cardiac arrest situations using ACLS standards and advanced resuscitation skills.
• Operates, prepares, and maintains Cath Lab equipment and supplies, including advanced devices (atherectomy, extraction, IVUS, Doppler).
• Provides staff training, participates in special projects/committees, and upholds medical ethics in all Cath Lab practices.
• Demonstrates strong customer service skills including communication, teamwork, respect, and sensitivity, following facility standards.
• Possesses personal qualities such as flexibility, initiative, willingness to learn, and openness to diversity.
• Capable of meeting physical demands of the role, including working in sterile environments, wearing lead aprons, lifting, and moving patients with team assistance.
