Overview
Role:
Technician for Thermoregulatory Sweat Test; responsible for patient preparation, maintaining accurate oral and skin temperatures during the procedure, photographing and charting the patient's sweat pattern, and maintaining the computer database of clinical and research information and results.
- The technologist performs the Thermoregulatory Sweat Test that provides information on the degree and pattern of sweat loss due to autonomic nervous system disorders.
- Work independently and ensure proper patient preparation.
- Maintain accurate oral and skin temperatures during the procedure.
- Photograph and accurately chart the patient s sweat pattern.
- Maintain the computer database comprised of clinical and research information and results.
LPN or high school graduate with an emphasis in math and science and health care experience. Previous patient contact is highly desirable. Must have basic computer skills and hold current certification in Basic Life Support.
