Job Requirements- Must be 16 years of age or older.
- Operate all equipment.
- Stock ingredients from delivery area to storage, work area, walk‑in cooler.
- Prepare product.
- Receive and process telephone orders.
- Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
- Clean equipment and facility approximately daily.
Orientation and training provided on the job.
Communication Skills- Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions.
- Ability to communicate verbally with customers and co‑workers to process orders both over the phone and in person.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly (may use calculator).
- Must be able to make correct monetary change.
- Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
- Motor coordination between eyes and hands/fingers to rapidly and accurately make precise movements with speed.
- Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
- Various and sometimes adverse weather conditions when removing trash and performing outside tasks.
- In‑store temperatures ranging from 36 °F in the cooler to 90 °F and above in some work areas.
- Sudden changes in temperature in the work area and while outside.
- Fumes from food odors.
- Exposure to cornmeal dust.
- Cramped quarters including a walk‑in cooler.
- Hot surfaces or tools from the oven up to 500 °F or higher.
- Sharp edges and moving mechanical parts.
- Talking and hearing on telephone.
- Near and mid‑range vision for most in‑store tasks.
- Depth perception.
- Ability to differentiate between hot and cold surfaces.
The ability to direct activities, perform repetitive tasks, work alone and with others, work under stress, meet strict quality control standards, deal with people, analyze and compile data, make judgements and decisions.
Physical Requirements- Standing – most tasks performed from a standing position.
- Walking – short distances for short durations.
- Surfaces – ceramic tile bricks with linoleum; work‑surface height 36–48 in.
- Sitting – paperwork completed at a desk or table.
- Lifting – bulk product deliveries up to 50 lb (cases up to 72 in tall).
- Carrying – large cans (≈3 lb) and pizza sauce (~30 lb); trays of dough (~12 lb) carried three at a time.
- Pushing – moving trays on dollies (force up to 7.5 lb).
- Climbing – occasional stairs or ladder use.
- Stooping/Bending – forward bending at the pizza assembly station (30–45 s repeatedly).
- Crouching/Squatting – occasional stocking shelves or cleaning low areas.
- Reaching – continuous; up, down, forward, occasionally above 72 in.
- Hand Tasks – eye‑hand coordination essential; use of hands continuous; frequent use of forearms and wrists during dough shaping, pizza peel handling, and box assembly.
- Machines/Tools – use of pencils/pens, computers, telephones, calculators, pizza cutter, pizza peel, and rolling cutter.
