* ** Construction Services Engineer
** provides expert‐level construction engineering support on projects of all sizes and complexities. This role supports field operations, supervision, and project management needs while working closely with construction leadership and mentoring less experienced staff.
** This Opportunity
*** Provide expert‐level field observations to ensure construction projects conform to plans, specifications, and company standards
* Apply engineering and technical knowledge to complete construction engineering duties efficiently
* Conduct final inspections of construction projects
* Serve as a lead construction engineer on multi‐phase or multi‐operational projects, coordinating personnel, schedules, and work assignments
* Oversee and mentor junior staff, providing coaching and day‐to‐day guidance
* Monitor contractor activities and ensure quality, safety, and performance standards are met
* Assist in monitoring the safety of construction personnel and overall quality of construction practice performance
* Manage projects with Federal, State, and Local funding documentation requirements
* Communicate effectively with construction leadership, engineers, contractors, clients, agencies, and the public
* Perform work independently while collaborating regularly with construction practice leadership
** Required Qualifications
*** Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field
* Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain within 12 months
* Construction field experience
* Ability to work independently and proactively
** Preferred Qualifications
*** Minimum of 5–7+ years of experience in the construction industry
* Prior project management experience
* Desire to obtain Professional Engineer (PE) licensure in additional states
This position requires an MVR records check verifying that you possess a valid driver’s license and a driving record which meets the requirements of SEH’s Driving Program.
