You will be supervising and training staff in investigations, analyses, reporting, and construction observation. Business development for existing and new clients will be an integral part of the position. You will be a leader within WSB and provide direction to Contract Admin staff and to other Groups within the Construction Division and within WSB.

What You Will Do:
  • Direct WSB's MN/ND Contract Administration team to manage and deliver successful projects, verify compliance with the plans and specifications, prepare pay estimates, and produce project documentation for private, municipal, county, MNDOT and federal projects.
  • Possess knowledge of design standards and generate business and perform work to grow the business and opportunities for WSB.
  • Lead projects and teams following State & Federal Contract Administration processes and procedures.
  • Provide experienced project management, oversight, and administration on a variety of Federal, State, County and City construction projects and contracts, along with leading proposal development process, staff scheduling and management.
  • You will be responsible for achieving revenue goals, profit margins and developing a team.
  • You will build a highly efficient, self-sustainable team of professionals with strong client focus.
  • Ensure a high-quality project is delivered to our clients.
  • Exude strong commitment to ensuring safe project execution.

  • Possessing a strong understanding of the construction industry in general, and construction project delivery.

  • Business Development - Identifying, attracting, and securing a new, diverse client base.
What You Will Bring:
  • Bachelor's degree (BS) in Civil Engineering and/or Master's degree (MS) in Civil Engineering field preferred not required.
  • 10+ years of experience providing contract administration within civil engineering services.
  • Serving as a Professional Engineer (PE) licensed in the state of Minnesota and/or North Dakota with an existing network of construction industry related clients.
  • The successful candidate must possess a valid driver's license along with a clean driving record and can work in a variety of locations.
  • This role requires 100% presence at our physical office location or job site.
