Description
The Rochester Athletic Club's Youth Programming Team is seeking Summer Camp Leads. The position requires approximately 40-50 hours per week availability during the summer with some flexibility.
The RAC Youth Programming Summer Camp Lead assumes responsibility for the effectively leading a team of summer camp counselors for the Rochester Athletic Club's summer day camps. This leader will help supervise the selection of curriculum, manage projects, provide customer service, as well as create and implement specific youth programming. The RAC mission statement "Member Experience First" provides the guidelines for the Summer Lead to be an example in creating a positive working environment with fellow staff and RAC summer campers.
A qualified candidate has completed high school as well as some college experience (or equivalent) and will promote, develop and lead by example in creating a positive working environment with staff, members, and guests.

Requirements
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES
- Planning, organizing, and overseeing camp activities.
- Assisting with the daily implementation of activities by educating camp staff, leading and delegating responsibilities.
- Contributing to the marketing for Neighborhood/Youth Programming events.
- Providing a positive member experience. This positive experience includes interactions across RAC departments.
- Performing duties as required of all RAC Neighborhood staff including: teach/run classes/parties/camps/events as needed.
- Creating weekly camp rosters, field trip information and camp informational emails.
- Interacting with RAC campers, camp counselors/staff and RAC camp families.
- Other responsibilities as needed.
