Overview
Mayo Clinic is seeking a board certified / board eligible pediatric hematologist to join our growing team. Mayo Clinic is an NCI-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center and a federally designated Comprehensive Hemophilia Treatment Center with 11 pediatric hematologist/oncologists, nine nurse practitioners, and eight specialty nurses. This role focuses on non-malignant, classical pediatric hematology within a highly collaborative practice. At Mayo Clinic Children's, more than 300 doctors with pediatric specialty expertise provide exceptional, integrated care in over 70 specialty programs and clinics to over 50,000 children and teenagers each year.
Responsibilities- Provide outpatient and inpatient care for children with non-malignant hematologic conditions.
- Share responsibility for inpatient care of children with blood disorders, cancer, and those undergoing hematopoietic stem cell transplantation, while maintaining defined areas of clinical focus.
- Engage in teaching of medical students, residents, and fellows.
- Contribute to the division’s educational mission and participate in scholarly activity and leadership development.
- Engage in clinical research and collaborate with institutional discovery and translational efforts related to non-malignant hematology, bleeding disorders, and vascular anomalies.
- Board certified or board eligible with the American Board of Pediatrics.
- Licensed or eligible to be licensed in Minnesota.
- Specialized training in non-malignant hematology is encouraged.
- Ability to contribute to an educational mission and engage in collaborative clinical care and research.
