Job Summary:Seeking three experienced Labor & Delivery (LDRPN) Nurses to join their maternity services team. This role requires a versatile clinician capable of supporting the full spectrum of the birthing experience, including labor, delivery, postpartum recovery, and special care for newborns. You will utilize the nursing process to manage high-stakes clinical situations, ensuring compassionate care and effective communication with both families and the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
KeyResponsibilities
- Intrapartum Care: Manage active labor patients, including continuous fetal monitoring, cervical exams, and assistance with epidural placement and monitoring.
- Delivery Assistance: Support both vaginal and Cesarean deliveries, circulating in the OR for C-sections when necessary.
- Postpartum & Newborn Care: Provide couplet care for mothers and neonates, including breastfeeding support and monitoring for postpartum hemorrhage.
- Special Care Nursery: Provide "Special Care" interventions for infants requiring additional stabilization or monitoring.
- Care Planning: Formulate and implement effective nursing care plans within the Cerner EMR system.
- Experience:
* Minimum 3 years of dedicated Labor & Delivery experience is required.- Minimum 1 year of Cerner EMR experience is required.
- Clinical Skills: Proficiency in Labor, Postpartum, and Special Care settings.
- Education: Graduation from an accredited school of nursing; BSN is preferred.
- Licensure: Active Michigan State RN License required.
- Certifications: * BLS (AHA) – Required.
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) – Required.
- Department: LDRPN Unit 001 (4095AK).
- Location: Rochester, MI 48307.
- Weekend Requirement: Must work every other weekend.
