Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring an active MI RN license and strong Cerner experience.
Responsibilities- Work in a hospital LDRPN (Labor, Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum, and Nursery) unit
- Care provided across labor, postpartum, and special care settings
- 12-hour night shifts, 7:00pm to 7:30am, three days a week
- Work every other weekend is required
- Use of Cerner EMR with prior experience required
- Floating may be required to a nearby sister hospital
- Provide leadership and coordination in delivering quality, compassionate care to labor and postpartum patients and their families
- Online modules must be completed onsite and passed prior to the start date, typically one week before the assignment begins
- No blocked scheduling is allowed
- COVID vaccination is mandatory
- Request for time off must be submitted before the offer; any requests after the assignment begins will require manager approval
- Background check and drug screening must be completed promptly to meet firm documentation and results deadlines
- Active MI RN license required
- Minimum 2 years of labor and delivery RN experience required, with 3 years preferred
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
- Current AHA BLS and NRP certifications required
- At least 1 year of experience using Cerner EMR
