• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or business administration or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
• A minimum of three (3) years’ experience in finance or accounting.
• Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Excellent spreadsheet/database skills.
• Ability to think creatively, problem solve, work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to adapt to changing and growing environment and to manage multiple tasks.

• A minimum of two years in financial analysis, budgeting, fund accounting
• Master’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting or related field.
• Knowledge of higher education/healthcare financial environment preferred.
• Knowledge of physician compensation and contracting preferred.

Unless otherwise required by an applicable collective bargaining agreement, all minimum, additional and desired qualifications are preferred, but qualifications, degrees, and/or experience deemed comparable and/or equivalent by Oakland University in its sole and exclusive discretion may be considered.

Position Purpose

This position will report to the Senior Director of Business Operations and provide accounting, financial reporting, restricted fund management, financial forecasting, overall financial support for the School of Medicine. They will work in a team environment and support designated activities overseen by the Senior Director of Business Operations and Vice Dean for Business and Administration.
