Minimum Qualifications- Experience working with preschool children
- Available to work weekday morning hours
- Must have reliable transportation
- Ability to follow specific, standardized protocols
- Strong organizational skills
- Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
- Willingness to learn new technology
- Valid driver’s license & a driving record acceptable to the University’s insurance carrier.
- Familiarity with Michigan’s state-funded Prekindergarten program, Great Start Readiness Program (GSRP), and Michigan’s early childhood landscape
- Prior experience conducting child assessments in early childhood classrooms
The Department of Human Development and Child Studies (HDCS), housed in the School of Education and Human Services, invites applications for several part-time Data Collector positions to work on a newly funded statewide preschool evaluation. The Data Collectors will be required to work a total of 20-30 flexible weekday hours between the months of April–May (total across both months) to conduct in-person child assessments.
Prior to hire, the Oakland GSRP Evaluation Data Collector must complete criminal background screening, drug screening, the State of Michigan Licensing Background check and fingerprinting, and a TB test with physician’s signature.
Job DutiesResponsibilities include completing mandatory training to be held in early April (date TBD), contacting teachers to arrange a mutually-agreed upon time to assess study children in their classrooms, driving to sites in the Oakland County area, and additional tasks as assigned.
