Minimum Qualifications- Must hold a bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, special education, human services, or related field.
- Minimum 1 years’ previous experience in an administrative position with proven recruitment experience.
- Minimum 2 years’ previous experience working with individuals with special needs.
- Must have basic computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and social media.
- Positive attitude, flexible and respectful towards individuals with special needs.
- Great attention-to-detail and understanding of the importance of confidentiality is essential.
- A sense of urgency to complete tasks efficiently, with the ability to manage multiple projects.
- Dependable, punctual, and professional.
- Detail-oriented and organized with strong communications skills.
- Master’s degree in communications, marketing, special education, human services, or related field. Minimum 2 years’ experience working with adults with special needs.
- At least 1 year proven program recruitment experience, including knowledge of area agencies/organizations that support people with special needs.
- Previous job coaching and/or job development experience a plus.
- Positive attitude towards individuals with an Autism Spectrum Disorder at all levels.
- Intermediate computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and social media.
The Employable Skills Training Co-Facilitator’s primary purpose is to recruit participants for, and aid in the implementation of, the OUCARES’ Employment Skills Training program.
Job DutiesThe Employable Skills Training Facilitator duties include helping assist the Lead Facilitator in the daily operations, outreach, and participant recruitment for Employment Skills Programs. These responsibilities may include helping enforcing policies and procedures; providing feedback on participants and general operations; outreach and participant recruitment; and other duties as needed. They are responsible for developing and implementing ongoing outreach and recruitment strategies, fostering participant communication and employment skills, and helping facilitate the schedule and curriculum.
The Assistant also aids the Lead Facilitator in overseeing program administration, general office tasks, and communicating with parents and caregivers. The Assistant will maintain open communication lines with other staff, participants, and OUCARES administration. They will attend any meetings or events as the representative of the skills training as requested by the Lead Facilitator or Director of OUCARES.
