Overview
Senior Associate Dean for Academic Affairs at Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine (OUWB) leads preclinical and clinical education, student affairs, admissions, continuous quality improvement (CQI), and accreditation. The Senior Associate Dean reports to the Dean of OUWB and is a key partner in strategic planning, identifying and implementing initiatives that shape the future of medical education Senior Associate Dean has ultimate responsibility for designing and managing the entire educational program with reporting units including Medical Education, Student Affairs, Admissions, Enrollment, Financial Aid, Accreditation and Continuous Quality Improvement, and the Clinical Skills Training and Simulation Center.
Responsibilities- Oversee preclinical and clinical education, student affairs, admissions, CQI, and accreditation.
- Partner in strategic planning and implement initiatives that shape the future of medical education at OUWB.
- Design and manage the entire educational program with reporting units including Medical Education, Student Affairs, Admissions, Enrollment, Financial Aid, Accreditation and Continuous Quality Improvement, and the Clinical Skills Training and Simulation Center.
- Collaborate with OUWB leadership and external partners to support the medical education mission.
Under the leadership of Oakland University leadership, OUWB welcomes students and maintains its traditional affiliations with Corewell Health hospitals as exclusive training sites for OUWB medical students.
