Job Title: Logistics Coordinator
Department: Lab Logistics
Location: Riedman Campus
Hours Per Week: 40
Schedule: Monday - Friday | 7am - 3:30pm w/ Saturday Rotation
SUMMARYThe Logistics Coordinator is accountable for departmental operations in the absence of the department leadership. The Logistics Coordinator will have diverse responsibilities in areas of data input, dispatching and tracking, information management, scheduling, training, and quality assurance/performance improvement.
RESPONSIBILITIES- Dispatching & Fleet Oversight: Analyze dispatch data, update route sheets, manage incoming courier requests, review GPS history, monitor vehicle condition/mileage, and communicate needs to leadership.
- Training & Performance Monitoring: Provide ongoing feedback to leadership, recommend remedial training as needed, train new staff on policies and procedures, and conduct ride‑alongs to ensure compliance with standards.
- Scheduling & Coverage: Prepare and maintain schedules, ensure proper staffing and resource allocation, coordinate daily adjustments, track attendance/PTO, and review/approve Kronos on a weekly basis.
- Operational Support: Step into courier responsibilities when required, assist in employee relations, and guide staff through system navigation, uniform orders, and schedule/route changes.

Collaboration:
Partner with supervisors and managers to develop routes, refine departmental policies, and support logistics operations through effective communication and teamwork. - Customer & Staff Communication: Lead team huddles, deliver reminders on compliance (e.g., HLCs, site schedules, client needs), delegate tasks, and exemplify outstanding customer service.
- Compliance & Safety: Operate company vehicles in adherence to all regulations and ensure departmental procedures align with safety and compliance standards.
- Backup & Cross-Functional Support: Provide coverage for dispatch, scheduling, and training functions when needed to maintain seamless departmental operations.
- 2 years of experience in logistics, operations, coordinator, or lead role
- Valid NYS Driver’s license.
- Teaching/training/coaching experience preferred
- 1 year dispatching/scheduling preferred
M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects;
Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting.
