Industrial Electrician (Oil & Gas Sector)

Permanent Nationwide JIB 2026 Rates + Overtime 40 hours + regular hrs

This is an excellent opportunity for experienced Industrial or JIB Gold Card Electricians to progress into the Oil & Gas sector. The company works across major UK terminals and industrial sites in ATEX-rated environments. Due to market shortages, they are now looking for strong industrial electricians who have the right attitude and willingness to develop into hazardous-area work. Full support and funded COMPEX training will be available after probation.

You will travel nationwide to client sites and carry out installation and maintenance work across large industrial and hazardous-area facilities. This includes LV installations, containment, testing, and electrical reporting. The team typically earns paid hours per week, with overtime paid at 1.3x and paid travel after the first 30 minutes.

Key responsibilities include:

• Industrial electrical installations across large process and hazardous-area sites

• Installation of low-voltage wiring and containment systems

• Safe electrical isolation procedures

• Testing, inspection and condition reporting

• Working from detailed electrical drawings and schematics

• Supporting installation and modification of electrical systems up to 1000V

• Travelling to various customer sites across the UK

Skills and experience required:

• Strong industrial or manufacturing electrical installation background

• JIB Gold Card or NVQ Level 3

• 17th or 18th Edition

• Inspection and testing such as 2391 or 2394/5

• Experience in process plant, heavy engineering, or similar environments

• ATEX or hazardous-area experience is beneficial but not essential

• COMPEX 1 4 preferred, including lapsed certificates (training funded after probation)

• A proactive attitude and willingness to work overtime and travel
