Registered Veterinary Nurse – Locum
Maidstone | Small Animal Practice | Permanent role | Full or Part Time Hours | £18–£22/hr
Responsibilities- Permanent locum RVN role – flexible dates to suit you
- Supportive team – 2 vets, 2 RVNs, practice manager & reception
- Wide caseload: rabbit, cat, dog dentals, surgery, nurse consults

- No OOH or Sundays
Every day will bring variety – you’ll assist with:
- Rabbit, cat and dog dentals
- Routine surgery & vaccinations
- General check‑ups & nurse consults
- Radiography, ultrasonography, microscopy & in‑house lab work
- End‑of‑life care & client education
You’ll work alongside two experienced vets and a supportive reception and management team. Shifts are Monday–Friday only, with no overnight accommodation provided, so local locums or those happy to commute are especially welcome.
What you’ll bring- Qualified RVN with current RCVS registration
- Confident with routine nursing tasks, monitoring anaesthesia & lab work
- A compassionate, calm approach with pets and clients alike
- Reliable, adaptable and able to slot smoothly into a well‑bonded team
- £18–£22 per hour (depending on experience)
