About UsFriends of Rochester Churchfields & Esplanade (FoRCE) is a passionate community group dedicated to protecting, improving, and celebrating our local green spaces. We’re a friendly, hands‑on team working to enhance biodiversity, create welcoming outdoor areas, and bring people together through nature.
The OpportunityFoRCE is looking for a Volunteer Fundraiser to help secure the resources that make our projects possible - from hedgerow planting to sensory garden development. If you enjoy connecting with people and championing a good cause, this role offers a meaningful way to make a real impact.
What You’ll DoYou’ll play a key part in helping FoRCE grow by:
- Identifying and developing new funding opportunities
- Building relationships with donors, local businesses, and supporters
- Preparing small grant applications and sponsorship proposals
- Keeping our donor tracker organised and up to date
- Sharing progress and insights with the committee
Even a couple of well‑timed funding wins each year can transform what we’re able to deliver for the community.
What You’ll GainNo prior fundraising experience is required - just enthusiasm and a willingness to learn. We’ll support you as you build valuable skills in:
- Bid writing
- Project planning
