The Best Connection is currently recruiting for an Assembly Technician to join a growing LED lighting manufacturer in Rochester.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with hands‑on experience in lighting assembly or electrical component wiring who is looking to join an innovative and expanding team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Solder and customize LED strip lighting to detailed specifications
  • Operate the injection moulding machine to produce factory ends for Neon Flex products
  • Read and follow customization sheets and manage tasks via the production planner
  • Inspect finished products to ensure quality and compliance with specifications
  • Communicate clearly with the office and production teams regarding job progress
  • Maintain tools, equipment and a clean, safe working environment
  • Monitor materials and components, flagging shortages in advance
  • Use the company ERP / planner system to log work and track production status
  • Work closely with the Head of Production to improve efficiency and processes
Requirements
  • Experience in soldering, electronics assembly, or similar hands‑on technical work
    • Candidates with limited soldering experience will still be considered, as full training will be provided to bring successful applicants up to the required standard.
  • Comfortable working with tools, machinery and small components
  • Strong attention to detail and quality
  • Ability to follow written instructions and technical documentation
  • Good organisational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks
  • A proactive attitude and willingness to learn new machinery and processes
  • Previous manufacturing or workshop experience is desirable but not essential
