Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer

A new and exciting opportunity has arisen for a Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer to join a UK known FMCG manufacturer in the Worthing area.

• Working as part of a team
• Complete PPM and reactive breakdown maintenance on manufacturing, industrial and FMCG machinery to maximize equipment performance
• Diagnose and resolve electrical faults across single‑phase and three‑phase systems
• Conduct electrical fault finding with quick response and rectification
• Perform activities on 3‑phase and single‑phase power
• Perform activities on motors, pumps, metal detectors, flow wrappers, ultrasonic cutters and packaging equipment
• Source and replace spare parts as needed
• Support continuous improvement projects on existing and new machinery
• Ensure all work complies with safety and quality standards
• Other duties as required

• Served or formally qualified in engineering – experience favoured
• 17th/18th Edition and experience in FMCG/industrial settings
• Electrical bias with mechanical capability; welding experience desirable
• Knowledgeable of both electrical and mechanical duties, with a bias to electrical
• PLC fault‑finding experience is beneficial
• Hands‑on and enjoys getting stuck in
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings (mechanical and electrical)
• Familiarity with pneumatics and PLCs is a plus
• Knowledge of CAD systems is a plus
• Strong problem‑solving skills and a proactive attitude
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
