Schedule: Per Diem | Evening Shifts (4–6 hour durations) | Rotating Weekends
Weekdays: Scheduled between 3:00 PM - 12:00 AM
Weekends: Scheduled between 12:00 PM - 12:00 AM
Assists technologists with tasks necessary for the general management and organization of the department, being flexible, meeting patient and/or department needs while ensuring all Radiology safety protocols are followed. Performs direct and indirect patient care as determined/delegated by a licensed technologist or nurse and facilitates the safe transport of patients to and from their respective units.
Responsibilities- Stock room appropriately while rotating supplies based on expiration dates, including Emergency response equipment
- Ensures that all regulatory logs are completed daily
- Uses team effort to accomplish room turnover within acceptable time frames. Primarily responsible for the cleanliness and safety of the environment for staff and patients.
- Safely and efficiently transports patients to and from the department in a safe manner, according to hospital standards.
- Assists with the ambulation, transferring, or lifting of patients
- Performs clerical duties, including filing, faxing, and scanning documents.
- Answers and returns phone calls, completes safety screening forms/history forms, and communicates with the care team as needed.
- Provides safe and competent care for patients with a relationship to elimination & hygiene needs, including bathing and changing bed linens as needed, while the patient is in the Radiology department.
- Demonstrates compassion and any other kind of support needed for the patient and the patient's family members
- Demonstrates the mission and values of the organization
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- One year patient care experience preferred
- Basic Computer skills required
- Demonstrates excellent customer service and communication skills
Heavy Work - Exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Requires constant walking, standing or squatting.
