At King’s, we believe that education is far more than the pursuit of grades. It is about inspiring young people to discover their unique talents, grow in confidence and develop the curiosity and resilience they need to thrive in a fast-changing world.

The Director of Music is responsible for coordinating Music throughout the school and is responsible for the vision, leadership and management of the curricular and co-curricular provision at King’s. Maintaining and promoting King’s as a centre of music excellence, including creating and maintaining a positive learning environment, is a key priority.

A range of concerts, showcases and opportunities for pupils to perform is key to their development, and the Director of Music will be responsible for these, including: scholars concerts, solo and ensemble performances, Commemoration Day, Remembrance Day, the Carol Service and the Summer Concert. Throughout the year pupils also perform in assemblies, at Open Days and local events.
