Are you a highly motivated and adaptable professional currently transitioning into a new career We are seeking motivated early-career professionals or individuals looking to transition into a technical career to join us as Systems Engineers. This is an excellent opportunity for those with STEM education, hands‑on technical experience, or a passion for engineering concepts gained through personal learning. You will play a key role in supporting the design, development, and analysis of complex electronic and software‑based systems.
You’ll gain hands‑on experience in the defence sector, supported by in‑depth graduate training, mentoring, and opportunities to work with leading global organisations.
The role:As a Systems Engineer you will work across the full product lifecycle, focusing on complex display systems, helmet‑mounted displays, and flight control systems for military and commercial aircraft. You will focus on the design, manufacture, and integration of advanced, safety‑critical technology. Your key responsibilities will include
- Contribute to the development of theoretical electronic and/or software‑based designs.
- Support system design analysis, modelling, and simulation activities (potentially using tools such as MATLAB or Simulink).
- Work collaboratively with engineering teams to understand system requirements and develop effective technical solutions.
- Take an analytical approach to problem solving, ensuring designs are robust and well‑engineered.
- Continuously grow your technical knowledge and professional capability.
Qualifications or Experience
- A degree (or equivalent experience) in a STEM subject such as Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related discipline;
- Relevant technical skills gained through personal projects, coding bootcamps, self‑directed learning, or similar hands‑on experience.
- An analytical mindset with the ability to understand and solve complex problems.
- Curiosity, adaptability, and a strong commitment to continuous learning.
- The ability to grasp new technical concepts quickly and apply them effectively.
- Enthusiasm for working with systems, models, and engineering tools.
- Practical experience of integrating and testing software and/or hardware in the laboratory - could be in academic or industry setting.
- Experience of developing theoretical electronic and/or software‑based designs or control systems, including design analysis, modelling or simulation (possibly using tools such as MATLAB or Simulink).
