Contract Opportunity working with a medical electronics manufacturer in Kent supporting Electronics Test. You will be working in a small company environment reporting to the Technical Director and working on a variety of Electronic test equipment including:

• Test and diagnose high speed video electronic systems, sub-assemblies and circuit boards. Where appropriate you would need to either
• Design and implement test jigs and other circuitry to enable testing of assemblies when they arrive from the manufacturer. This is likely to involve a mixture of mechanical design, electronic design and software/firmware in C or Python.
• Create test specifications, operator instructions and reports.
• Identify corrective actions and liaise with the contract manufacturers to improve the incoming defect rate.
• Help specify and introduce new test equipment as required.
• Work with the design engineers to test and troubleshoot prototypes and products.
• Assist in new design and development.
• Having learned the details of our products, we would expect you to specify and design fixtures to help reduce the test time and ultimately the incoming failure rate.

You should therefore be familiar with the following:

• PCB Schematics
• Electronic Design
• DVMs (Digital Volt Meter)
• Electronic Test (PSUs/Testing cards/ATE)
• Test and Diagnostics of PCBs

The work is to be completed onsite in Rochester on a contract basis.
