We’re Hiring:An Electrical Estimator
Lyons Electrical is growing, and we’re looking for a skilled and experienced Electrical Estimator to join our team. If you have a sharp eye for detail, a strong grasp of costing, and proven experience in estimating and pricing electrical installations for industrial, commercial and domestic projects, we’d love to hear from you. The position will be based predominantly at our head office in Strood, Kent.
Aboutthe Role
As an Electrical Estimator, you will play a key part in securing and supporting a wide range of electrical projects.
Responsibilities- Preparing accurate, competitive, and well‑presented cost estimates including pricing for new works
- Reviewing project drawings, specifications, and tender documents
- Working closely with engineers, project and commercial managers, and clients
- Managing the entire bid process from initial enquiry through to tender submission
Lyons Electrical is an Employee Ownership Trust (EOT) company and the successful applicant will automatically become a trust shareholder.
What We’re Looking For- A solid background in electrical estimating
- A thorough understanding of electrical regulations and legislation
- Excellent analytical, communication, and organisational skills
- A basic understanding of major forms of contract and how these dovetail with tendering requirements
- Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to work to deadlines
- Experience using industry‑standard estimating software and tools
- Preferably (but not exclusively) a recognised professional qualification relevant to the role
- The ideal candidate will be a personable individual who can easily integrate into a team with a high moral and strong sense of integrity
- Competitive salary (£60k–£80k, depending on qualification and experience)
