CATERING ASSISTANT (part time)

Medway Scale, Grade D2

£25,185 - £28,142 per annum pro‑rated (£13.05 - £14.58 per hour)

The kitchen team takes pride in delivery of fresh and appetising food for pupils and staff, working to high standards following Health and Safety protocols. These roles suit someone with a flexible and energetic approach who enjoys working as part of a supportive team.

Working hours are 10 hours per week (12noon to 2pm) term time only, plus 5 Staff Development Days and 5 cleaning days. Equipment, training and induction will be provided and a Level 2 qualification in Food Safety is preferred.

Abbey Court caters for pupils aged 3-19 with Severe Learning Difficulties and is currently located on two Strood sites:
Nursery, Primary and secondary (Cliffe Road) and Further Education (Rede Court Road). Facilities include an on-site school farm.

Due to the conditions and complex needs of the pupils, continuity and consistency of support are paramount; candidates must commit to the full working hours of the post.
