This is a full‑time, on‑site Quantity Surveyor role based in Rochester. The Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for overseeing and managing all costs related to construction projects, ensuring efficient resource usage, and ensuring value for money without compromising quality. Daily responsibilities include preparing and analysing costings, negotiating contracts, supervising budgets, liaising with clients and contractors, and managing risk assessments for surfacing projects.

£60,000.00 – £70,000.00

• Strong knowledge of cost planning, budgeting, and cost control
• Experience in tendering, contract administration, and project management
• Familiarity with construction processes, methods, and materials, particularly in surfacing and highway projects
• Proven skills in negotiation, stakeholder management, and problem‑solving
• Proficiency with quantity surveying software and Microsoft Office applications
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field
• Professional membership or qualifications (e.g., RICS or equivalent) are preferred
• Strong organisational and time management skills with attention to detail
• A valid driver’s licence for site visits
