We are seeking a detail-oriented and driven Staff Accountant to join our client's growing finance team. In this role, you will support core accounting operations, maintain accurate financial records, and assist with monthly and annual close processes. This position is ideal for someone early in their accounting career who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and is looking to grow within a dynamic organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and record journal entries in accordance with GAAP
  • Post daily cash activity to the general ledger
  • Prepare and post weekly payroll journal entries
  • Reconcile general ledger accounts including bank, payroll, prepaid, and accrual accounts
  • Maintain fixed asset records and depreciation schedules
  • Manage leased asset records and related amortization schedules
  • Support month-end and year-end close processes and prepare supporting schedules
  • Assist with annual audit requests and provide necessary documentation
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and financial controls
  • Recommend and support process improvements to enhance accuracy and efficiency
  • Perform other accounting and finance tasks as needed
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 1–3 years of accounting experience (public or corporate) preferred
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and core accounting principles
  • Experience with account reconciliations, audits, or financial reporting a plus
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP/accounting systems (Net Suite, SAP, Quick Books, or similar) strongly preferred
  • Excellent attention to detail, organization, and analytical skills
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work independently and within a team
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
