The Opportunity

We are looking for a high-energy, solution-oriented Engineer to join a premier technical team in Rochester Hills. This role is designed for someone who thrives on solving complex puzzles and building tools that have a measurable impact on the physical world.

In this position, you will operate within a high-velocity Agile environment, creating diagnostic and utility applications used by field specialists to maintain and repair heavy-duty machinery. You'll be part of a collaborative squad of engineers, with ample room to cross-train on various platforms and steer your career toward the technologies that fascinate you most.
Key Responsibilities

• Cross-Platform Development: Architect and deploy robust applications across Windows, Android, and iOS environments.
• System Optimization: Engineer high-performance solutions utilizing advanced multithreading, concurrency management, and event-driven synchronization.
• Architectural Leadership: Apply modern design patterns and object-oriented principles to ensure code scalability and maintainability.
• Field Engagement: Partner with end-users and occasionally travel to client sites to see your software in action and gather real-world feedback.
• Collaborative Innovation: Actively participate in knowledge-sharing sessions, helping the team evolve while navigating the ambiguity of cutting-edge projects.

Required Qualifications

• Education: BS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a strictly related technical field.
• Experience: 5+ years of professional software design and development, covering the full SDLC (Design, Dev, Test).
• Core
  
  Languages:
  
  * 5+ years of expert-level C/C++ development.
  • 3+ years of .NET (C#) development.
• Data Management: 2+ years working with relational databases (MySQL, MS Access, etc.).
• Technical Depth:
  * Proven background in Embedded Software development.
  • Experience writing OS-Abstracted code.
  • Proficiency with version control systems like GIT or SVN
    .
• Mindset: A strong grasp of functional programming, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and the ability to work onsite daily in a fast-paced environment.
