Overview
Phlebotomist I - Rochester Hills, MI — Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM, every other Saturday 8:00 AM–noon.

- Collect specimens according to established procedures (including drug screens, biometric screening, and insurance exams).
- Administer oral solutions according to training.
- Research test/client information and confirm/verify written and electronic orders using lab systems, client contact, and approved tools.
- Navigate a computer and accurately enter data.
- Obtain identification and accurately enter billing information and collect payments when required, following corporate policies.
- Process specimens (labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing, transporting as required).
- Perform non-patient facing duties: inventory, stocking supplies, sanitizing, filing, answering phones, and using email as appropriate.
- Read, understand, and comply with departmental policies, protocols, and procedures.
- Assist with compilation and submission of statistics and data when required.
- Maintain phlebotomy logs (e.g., maintenance and temperature logs) in a timely manner.
- Complete online and in-person training courses timely.
- Required Education
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
- Phlebotomy certification preferred. Required in California, Nevada, and Washington.
- One year phlebotomy experience preferred.
- Customer service in a retail or service environment preferred.
- Keyboard/data entry experience.
The position requires the ability to effectively communicate in English.
